Parcelcube’s proprietary dimensioning software is provided free with their hardware systems and offers straightforward installation and integration with existing operations.
Three main usage approaches
- Local data storage: Save registered data on your computer in CSV or Excel formats for later processing, though this method may require manual work that could introduce errors.
- System integration: Connect with warehouse management systems (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. The software supports seven user-defined fields, enabling simultaneous data exchange without switching between applications.
- Copy and paste functionality: For small webshops, directly transfer parcel information to third-party shipping services after scanning.
Software capabilities
Beyond basic scanning, the software includes camera integration for automatic object photography and item stacking functionality. When scanning small or thin objects stacked together, the software automatically calculates individual weight and dimensions.
Daily operation benefits
The interface is intuitive and self-explanatory, allowing users to handle installation and integration independently. While regular calibration isn’t required, periodic verification using supplied calibration cubes is recommended. Resources including manuals and software are available on the support page.
