Parcelcube versus the competition

Parcelcube is one of the leaders in the dimensioning system market. But which system should you really get? Here we try to go through what details you should look at when choosing your new dimensioning system. We also compare the two products from Parcelcube with products form another company.

Things that matter in dimensional scanning

When choosing a dimensioning system there are a few things to look at.

The first thing is the price, since one just cannot buy a system that one cannot afford. Regarding the price one must not forget to look at the fee for the software too, since it is not always included.

The other thing is capacity. It is important that the dimensioning system will be well suited for measuring the parcels and items you are likely to encounter at your location. As usual, the bigger the capacity the better.

The third thing is precision. If you are going to measure items that will go into a small envelope or other tight fitting parcel and at the same time clock in under a specific weight in order to save shipping cost, then precision is your friend.

The last thing is user-friendliness. One will get the most benefit from a system that is easy to learn and use. Such things as installation and maintenance must also be as smooth as possible.

In order to compare the two leading manufacturers in the field at the moment, we start by listing and comparing the technical details:

What conclusion can we draw from this? The first thing to strike us is how much more humanely priced the Parcelcube dimensioning system is. And as software is included too, Parcelcube comes out as the clear winner.

Another obvious thing is that Parcelcube also seem to have a slight edge over the competition when it comes to capacity and precision. Both the standard Parcelcube 900 and the XL-version will fit larger and heavier objects than products made by the competitors. The Parcelcubes however seem to be able to measure those slightly larger objects without being too large and heavy themselves. The Parcelcube offerings will also measure and weigh at finer increments. Especially the Parcelcube 900XL is worthy of note, it will give you a weight reading that is ten times more exact than competing products. The Parcelcubes are done measuring in 1–2 seconds, that will be fast enough for every use case.

Regarding user-friendliness, both Parcelcube and other dimensional weight scanner products on the market are sure to deliver just that. However Parcelcube promises a smooth installation, gives out a free software that works with any third-party software and offers a remote support service that they claim will take of 98 % of all maintenace tasks.

All in all, the Parcelcube 900 in both sizes are hard to beat.
